Are you a tax professional looking to take your career to the next level? Do you have a passion for corporate tax planning and compliance? We're seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our dynamic team at Grant Thornton.

About the Role

As a Tax Manager, you'll work closely with our clients to provide expert tax advice and guidance on corporate tax planning and compliance. You'll be responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of tax colleagues, establishing deep trusting relationships with clients, and proactively resolving tax-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert tax advice and guidance on corporate tax planning and compliance
  • Coach and mentor a team of tax colleagues on compliance and tax planning options
  • Establish deep trusting relationships with clients and advise them on complex tax matters
  • Prepare files for corporate reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, succession, and estate planning
  • Manage T2 and T3 returns and proactively resolve tax-related issues
  • Act as a leader in the management of our growing tax practice, identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services
Requirements
  • Enrolled in, or have completed, the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course, or have a Master's of Taxation degree
  • Developed and presented new ideas and conceptualized new approaches and tax solutions for clients
  • Solid experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax planning and/or compliance
  • Helped mentor and develop others
