Job Summary:
As a Tool and Die Maker Apprentice at Multimatic Inc., you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our cutting-edge manufacturing technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and grow with a world-class company, working alongside a highly skilled team to drive innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attain certification as a Tool and Die Maker through formal schooling and practical assignments
- Suggest product improvements and identify potential build issues
- Ensure that customer requirements, including project timing, part quality, and delivery, are understood and met
- Consider alternative solutions for given tasks or problems
- Attend meetings as required
- Be responsible for all parameters of assigned tasks
- Ensure the shop environment is kept safe, clean, and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques
- Communicate project and other details to the supervisor and tool & die maker
- Ensure adequate communication with other program team members
- Maintain accurate timesheets and ensure they are completed on time
- Follow all documented quality procedures
- Observe all company safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Attend all required training courses
- Participate in MAMT's continuous improvement activities
- Foster good employee relations
- Perform all other duties as determined by the General Manager or his designate
Basic Requirements:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Basic shop machinery skills
- Successful completion of Lift Truck Safety Course and Crane Operation and Safety Training
- Must be familiar with MAMT's Quality System procedures
