Job Summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Vascular Surgery team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs
  • Document patient history and medical information
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff
  • Participate in in-office procedures under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider
  • Perform diagnostic testing and venipuncture
  • Prescription call-backs within scope of practice
  • Prepare patient charts for clinical information
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and keep patient examination rooms stocked
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to AMC policies
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current NYS license as a licensed practical nurse
  • Previous experience in a patient care setting preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients, and employees
