Advanced Cellular Microbiology Seminar

Position Overview: This role involves leading a seminar focused on the latest developments in cellular microbiology. The course will cover essential topics such as microbial pathogenesis and the mechanisms by which cells recognize and eliminate pathogens. Active participation in discussions and oral presentations of scientific literature will be integral to the learning experience.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a Ph.D. or be nearing completion, with a strong background in cellular microbiology and host-pathogen interactions. Familiarity with current research literature is essential, and prior teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering engaging lectures and tutorials.
  • Facilitating student discussions and evaluating oral presentations.
  • Creating and grading quizzes, written assignments, and exams.
  • Holding office hours and performing various administrative tasks.

Please note that all instructional activities will take place in person.

Additional Information: Teaching Assistants may be assigned to support the course, contingent on enrollment numbers.

This position is governed by the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, which outlines hiring preferences and other employment conditions.
