Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Lead Engineer to join our Energy team in Calgary. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering projects and collaborating with clients, suppliers, and other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Mechanical Discipline teams on major projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.
  • Coordinate Mechanical discipline activities on project and represent discipline in project meetings.
  • Prepare mechanical engineering deliverables, including datasheets, specifications, and material requisitions.
  • Familiarize yourself with engineering department procedures and their application to projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with design standards and guides applicable to the discipline for respective clients.
  • Contribute to a work environment that values openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • A recognized mechanical or materials engineering degree from an accredited university and registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant EPC Mechanical Engineering experience in the Energy sector, with 8 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with various Mechanical Equipment types and defining scope limits for efficient execution.
  • Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards such as ASME, TEMA, ASTM, API, etc.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to operating plants or manufacturer's shops for field reviews and acceptance testing.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
