Key Responsibilities:

The CYCP will operate under the Inclusive Education Policy framework, delivering tailored services to families and fostering strong connections among home, school, and community. The role involves reporting to the Lead, SchoolsPlus or a designated representative.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Child & Youth Care
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an educational environment
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid NVCI training
  • Membership in the NS Child and Youth Care Workers Association is considered an asset

Compensation:

The starting annual salary is $42,589.51, with annual step increases as outlined in the Collective Agreement.

Work Schedule:

This position requires seven hours of work per day, Monday through Friday.

Leave Benefits:

Permanent CYCPs are entitled to three weeks of vacation annually, with pro-rated vacation for term positions.
