Lead Audit Officer / Audit Manager, Performance Evaluation Team
The Government of Nova Scotia is looking for a dedicated professional to become part of our Performance Evaluation Team as a Lead Audit Officer or Audit Manager. This role will involve direct reporting to an Audit Principal.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting phases of performance evaluations
- Create comprehensive audit strategies and assess operational systems
- Identify, analyze, and document audit results, preparing detailed reports
- Support the training and mentorship of junior audit personnel
- Occasional travel within the province may be necessary
Required Qualifications
- Designation as a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
- Recent background in internal auditing, program assessment, or policy review
- Strong analytical abilities and effective time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SAP and Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAAT)
- Experience in health administration or public health sectors
Compensation Details
- Lead Audit Officer (EC 10): Annual salary range of $79,000 - $99,000
- Audit Manager (EC 12): Annual salary range of $95,000 - $119,000
