Position Overview

CB Canada is seeking a Senior Information Management Architect for an exciting opportunity.

This role involves supporting an IT Transformation Plan aimed at modernizing the IT infrastructure and service delivery for the Government of Canada.

The consultant will engage in various aspects of IT services, including data centers, network management, cybersecurity measures, and workplace technology solutions, ensuring a consolidated and standardized approach to support the delivery of government programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current capabilities and requirements, develop redesigned frameworks, and recommend enhancements for improved integration and capability. Create and document comprehensive statements of requirements.
  • Review existing procedures and methods, identify and document database content, structure, and application subsystems, and develop a data dictionary.
  • Define and document the interfaces between manual and automated operations within application subsystems, external systems, and between new and existing systems.
  • Prototype potential solutions, provide trade-off analyses, and suggest recommended actions.
  • Conduct information modeling to support Business Process Reengineering (BPR) implementation.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses for the implementation of new processes and solutions.
  • Advise on the development and integration of process and information models to eliminate redundancies in information and processes.
  • Provide insights into defining new requirements and opportunities for efficient and effective solutions; identify and present preliminary cost estimates for potential options.
  • Mentor, coach, and collaborate with the organization to enhance capabilities in the above areas.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a three-year college diploma in computer science or a related IT field; OR a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (computer science or engineering) or a related field.
  • At least ten years of experience in the IT sector.
  • Must possess a valid Secret Clearance at the level requested by the appropriate authorities.
  • Experience in a multi-government stakeholder environment, including:
    • Multi-vendor
    • Multi-client
    • Multi-end user/groups/organizations
  • Experience in large-scale transformation projects.
  • Proven ability to communicate and provide strategic advice to senior executives (director level and above).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 initiatives.
  • Experience managing projects with a budget exceeding $50M.
  • Ability to develop presentation materials, strategic models, and governance reports for executive-level stakeholders.
