We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. VDC Coordinator to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence in our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our VDC Leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive BIM Execution Plan and VDC strategy
  • Work closely with owners and stakeholders to understand their BIM requirements and deliver model-based solutions
  • Develop and maintain project-specific workflows that leverage BIM data for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling, coordination, and field layout
  • Utilize your 3D modeling skills to create accurate and detailed models of architectural, structural, MEP, and construction logistics elements
  • Facilitate reality capture through LiDAR, drones, and 360 photography, and integrate data into our models
  • Participate in software testing, R&D initiatives, and ongoing professional development to stay ahead of the curve
  • Work with project stakeholders to develop solutions through model-based design and constructability review, clash detection, and visualization
  • Generate construction documents and drawings from our BIM models using standardized details and workflows
Requirements:
  • University degree or technology diploma in engineering, architecture, M&E, or a related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience in BIM management, modeling, and technologies (preferably on-site)
  • High level of knowledge interpreting design and construction drawings
  • Certification in RPAS (drone) operation or ability to achieve certification
  • Advanced experience in Revit, AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Navisworks
  • Autodesk BIM360, Revizto, Synchro Pro, and BIM-related training or certifications are considered assets
