As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements, planning and setting up accounting systems, and ensuring accuracy and compliance to accounting standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Plan, set up and administer accounting systems to meet business needs
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards and procedures
  • Prepare financial statements and reports to provide insights to management
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices to increase efficiency
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
  • Examine accounting records to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide financial, business and tax advice to management and staff
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Oversee payroll administration to ensure accuracy and compliance
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP
