Key Responsibilities- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Plan, set up and administer accounting systems to meet business needs
- Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards and procedures
- Prepare financial statements and reports to provide insights to management
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices to increase efficiency
- Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
- Examine accounting records to identify areas for improvement
- Provide financial, business and tax advice to management and staff
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Oversee payroll administration to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Education: College/CEGEP
