Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Health Records Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of patient health information.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient health records in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Process and manage incoming and outgoing patient documentation, ensuring confidentiality and security.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain and verify patient information.
- Respond to inquiries regarding patient health records in a timely and professional manner.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for health records management.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare documentation standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of services provided by Ontario Health atHome
- Ability to speak French or another second language
