Caregiver Support Specialist

RhynoCare Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team. As a Caregiver Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Skilled Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, in accordance with corporate policy and established standards.
- Assist Registered Staff: Collaborate with registered staff to implement nursing diagnostic and therapeutic measures, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our residents.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of resident care, adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
- Resident Meal Service and Restorative Nursing: Assist with meal service and provide support with restorative nursing programs, promoting the overall well-being of our residents.
- Teamwork and Communication: Foster a positive and supportive team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and residents to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including proper body mechanics, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Communication Skills: Possess proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
- Language Skills: Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset.
- Education and Training: Must meet one of the following criteria: successful completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) or RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy students with successful completion of Year 1.
- Experience and Certifications: Experience working as a Facility PSW is considered an asset. Must possess a negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray, current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid Certificate, and meet health surveillance requirements of the Public Hospitals Act.
- Criminal Record Check: Must have a VSS within the past year of hire confirming absence of a criminal history/record.
