About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterilization Attendant to join our team at Foothills Dentistry. As a Sterilization Attendant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of infection control and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, disinfected, and maintained to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Lay Out Surgical Instruments: Organize and prepare surgical instruments for use, ensuring they are sterile and ready for procedures.
  • Prepare and Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Restock and replenish supplies, and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Operate and Maintain Sterilization Equipment: Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers, to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Perform General Clerical Duties: Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping, as needed.
  • Prepare and Maintain Cleanliness of Collection Areas: Ensure all collection areas, including biohazard waste and recyclables, are properly cleaned and maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, attention to detail
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player
  • Experience: Will train
