Job Title: Training Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Training Consultant to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a Training Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering training content for our Internal Audit team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop training plans to address these needs.
  • Create, improve, and adapt training materials to support the training and skills development of Internal Audit employees.
  • Analyze the audience to offer/adapt the appropriate training and curate or develop training content by proposing creative and innovative learning methods and solutions.
  • Develop detailed learning objectives, engaging presentation decks, scripts, and storyboards grounded in adult learning principles.
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness and summarize evaluation reports determining the impact of training on employee skill.
  • Coordinate office training and education, including new hire training, with scheduling, set-up, organizing training materials, facilitators, monitoring attendance, etc.
  • Monitor mandatory training completion and complete monthly and quarterly training reporting requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a learning and development department, or with delivering training or working on topics around risk assessment, internal controls, audit procedures, internal audit standards.
  • It's an asset to have experience in the financial services industry, internal or external audit.
  • You have a degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Adult Education or equivalent education and experience.
  • You have strong computer and data analysis skills (e.g. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and excellent project management skills.
  • You have proven ability to successfully manage timelines, multiple projects, milestones, and critical paths.
