About the Role

KPMG-Canada's iDi tax group is seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our team as a Manager/Senior Manager. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with Partners on tax initiatives for various clients, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements and teams for compliance needs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Review working papers, tax provisions, and returns, providing expert analysis and recommendations.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis, staying up-to-date on the latest tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for client service, fostering strong relationships and driving business outcomes.
  • Mentor junior staff and support professional development, helping to build a strong and capable team.
  • Assist in attracting new business, leveraging your expertise to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Provide feedback for tax tool development, ensuring our tools and systems meet the needs of our clients and team.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of Canadian income tax experience, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple compliance engagements, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Professional Accounting Designation, such as CPA or CA.
  • CPA In-Depth Tax Course or MTax program completion, demonstrating a high level of tax expertise.
  • Strong people and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Client service-oriented with business acumen, understanding the needs of our clients and driving business outcomes.
  • Adaptability to new technologies, with a willingness to learn and implement new tools and systems.
