We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our Consumer Industrial Markets team at KPMG-Canada. As a Tax Specialist, you will play a key role in servicing the planning and compliance needs of our clients, providing expert analysis and advice on a wide range of tax-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of complex tax issues to provide expert advice to clients.
- Review and prepare corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with senior staff members to develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
- Interact with clients and other team members to provide exceptional client service and build strong relationships.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax-related projects, including special projects and research initiatives.
- Hold a Chartered Financial Examiner (CFE) designation or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a Public Accounting firm, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
- Be currently enrolled or interested in enrolling in the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) In-Depth Tax Program.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Be a team player with strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
- Have strong time-management abilities and self-motivation, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Be able to establish and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on providing exceptional client service and building trust.
