Audit Manager I, Credit Risk Audit

The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada) is seeking a highly skilled Audit Manager I, Credit Risk Audit to join our team. As a key member of our Credit Risk Management Group, you will be responsible for executing audits in accordance with established standards and prescribed time, budget, and scope parameters.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the planning, risk assessment, and execution of assigned audits across various business units.
- Assess business risks and processes, developing and updating related audit programs.
- Execute audit tests in accordance with audit standards, ensuring thorough, accurate, and complete work, and addressing risks appropriately.
- Present objective and independent conclusions regarding the adequacy of internal controls, including findings and recommendations to clients.
- Effectively communicate with clients during and after audit fieldwork.
- Follow up on findings arising from internal audits and regulatory reviews, adhering to established standards and timelines.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging issues and evolving regulatory requirements, assessing potential impacts and communicating them to audit management.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships through effective communication and regular sharing of information, issues, and knowledge with audit management, colleagues, and internal and external business partners.
- Audit or similar experience is considered a significant asset.
- In-depth knowledge of business processes within Business Banking and Credit Risk Management Groups is considered a significant asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex situations into manageable components and reach appropriate conclusions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and good business acumen.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Effective time management, multi-tasking, and organization skills to meet tight timelines and adapt to changing priorities.
- University degree or equivalent work experience.
- Accounting (CA, CPA, CGA) or Internal Audit (CIA) designations is considered an asset.
