About the Role
GAF is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Retail Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for supporting our sales and marketing efforts at large national retail locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Train retail associates on GAF products and provide feedback on market conditions and inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with retail management teams, contractors, and merchandising teams.
- Build and manage a book of contractors through prospecting, cold calling, and consultation.
- Own and close the sales funnel, turning potential contractor opportunities into wins.
- Work with retail outside selling teams to establish trust and support as the expert in roofing.
- Display strong negotiating tactics and leverage value propositions and GAF System Selling.
- Compile reporting to highlight hits, misses, learning, and strategic next steps.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a sales environment or customer service-focused role.
- Ability to have and maintain a driver's license.
- Highly motivated and strong desire for advancement in a roofing sales capacity.
- Excellent written, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory.
