Job Title: Senior Deployment Manager

Canadian Solar is seeking a highly skilled Senior Deployment Manager to lead the development and delivery of utility-scale energy storage solutions in the USA and globally.

About the Role:

The Senior Deployment Manager will be responsible for defining the overall integrated energy storage solution, including developing technical requirements, product testing, and working closely with other departments to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement technical strategies for embedded, data ingestion, and cloud software and hardware development.
  • Lead discussions with technical leaders to evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to support the development process and meet project requirements.
  • Work closely with customers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Manage stakeholders, utilities, and suppliers of fast-response controllers for design and deliverables.
  • Verify testing and commissioning of new advanced BESS plant controls.
Requirements:
  • At least 15 years of domain experience in solar PV or battery energy storage controls.
  • Experience with power grid, power generation, and/or renewable integration control.
  • Expertise in model-based control software development.
  • Experience with Linux command-line, scripting (Python, Batch), relationship & time series databases, writing automated tests, Jupyter, Deepnote.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
