About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Manager to join our team at Southwire Company LLC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion in the retail channel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for assigned national retail accounts to meet or exceed volume, revenue, and profitability goals.
  • Take initiatives to introduce new product categories at assigned accounts to grow the overall business.
  • Participate in the development and execution of sales programs using category management, forecasting, promotional planning, financial analysis, and program planning.
  • Conduct regular account analysis to review performance against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers to grow and retain business, promote revenue growth opportunities, and maintain positive internal working relationships.
  • Lead sales calls and customer meetings to move the business relationship forward and achieve sales and revenue generation opportunities.
  • Regularly achieve and report on weekly and monthly sales and revenue generation opportunities.
  • Respond quickly to changing customer needs and requirements.
  • Act as a customer advisor on how to improve customer financial results.
  • Provide information on Southwire Canada's products and services to enhance awareness.
  • Ensure that store associates receive ongoing training and education on new and existing products.
  • Work in a team selling capacity to ensure that the appropriate Southwire sales, marketing, and technical expertise is utilized in the most effective manner to build and grow the customer's business.
  • Look for new growth opportunities inside and outside of existing accounts.
  • Provide guidance to the agents to drive execution and accountability.
  • Maintain all selling activities within allocated Selling Expense budget.
  • Manage customer trade show booth setup and execution in collaboration with marketing and agent teams.
  • Work in an office environment to maintain close relationships with other stakeholders.
Pricing and Profitability
  • Manage product and program pricing to grow profitability in collaboration with the Pricing Team.
  • Analyze product mix and look for opportunities to maximize margins.
  • Monitor competitors to maintain an ongoing awareness of competitor's practices and market trends that affect market price levels.
Collaboration with Inside Sales
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to Inside Sales on quotes, rebates, returns, shipping conditions, etc.
  • Work with the Inside Sales team in resolving problems and/or issues with key accounts as they arise.
Professional Development and Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Southwire products, services, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete Southwire internal training and iAM courses as identified.
  • Keep up-to-date on new and upcoming products and developments within the company and industry.
  • Attend and participate in internal and external seminars and courses to develop skills.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent.
  • Year of experience: 5+ years in a National Account Manager role ideally within the Retail channel.
  • Field of expertise: National Account Manager role ideally within the Retail channel.
  • Experience in e-commerce and omni-channel strategy.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations, job sites, and Southwire offices in the US.
