About the Role

Burgundy Diamond Mines is a leading global diamond company that prioritizes the safe and efficient operation of its equipment. As a member of our DPRT Production team, the Equipment Operator - Support will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our support equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Support Equipment: Safely operate dozers, graders, excavators, loaders, and other equipment to meet daily production targets and support the overall mining operation.
  • Effective Communication: Utilize a 2-way radio system to maintain effective communication with team members and ensure seamless coordination.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity of equipment and complete job hazard analysis reports and equipment log books.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to all Company-specific safety protocols and Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures to protect the safety and well-being of yourself and your co-workers.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience operating a variety of heavy equipment, specifically D10 Dozer, 16G/M Grader, CAT 375 Excavator, and 992 Loader in the mining industry or similar setting.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working in the mining industry, northern Canada, and an understanding of the northern regulatory environment is preferred.
