Your Role:

As a Tool and Die Maker, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of safety, production, and quality. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safety First: Identify and report safety issues, maintaining a clean and safe work environment daily.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on Transfer and Progressive line dies.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality verification of products as per procedure and communicate any tooling issues promptly to your supervisor.
  • Machining Mastery: Set up and operate tool room machines including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, radial drill presses, and CNC milling machines.
  • Welding Skills: Utilize various welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and Arc.
  • Blueprint Proficiency: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and models to determine materials required and the sequence of operations for fabricating and repairing dies.
  • Material Handling: Operate forklift machines and crane lift devices as trained to ensure safe and efficient handling of materials.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Red Seal certification for Tool and Die, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
