About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our dental clinic, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient management, including screening and assessment of dental needs, and coordination of appointments.
  • Communicate effectively with medical and dental staff to ensure seamless appointment scheduling and patient care.
  • Perform chair-side duties, maintain infection control, and assist with OR procedures.
  • Ensure patient charts are complete and accurate, and maintain a double entry system for logging work and filing documents.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 graduation and completion of a recognized Certified Dental Assistant course.
  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP).
  • One year of related experience, preferably in a hospital setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work well with patients and staff.
