About the Role:

  • Lead structural design projects for mining and heavy industrial clients, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for complex structural design challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in structural design.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) in the province of Saskatchewan.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of structural designs, industry codes, standards, and construction methods.
  • Material design experience, including structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working on mining and/or heavy industrial projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize projects.
  • Team-oriented and creative thinking, with a demonstrated ability to cooperate and make decisions.
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood.
