Job Title: Terminal Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Terminal Operator to join our team at Woodward's Oil Limited.

Job Summary:

The Terminal Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our oil terminal, including the loading and unloading of cargo, maintenance of equipment, and quality control of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Direct and oversee the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct quality control checks on products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Organize and manage warehouse and work areas to ensure efficient use of space and resources.
  • Prepare daily reports of fuel, oil, and accessory sales to track company performance.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to facilities.
  • Reconcile physical inventories with computer counts to ensure accuracy and integrity of records.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficient and safe operation of the terminal.
  • Assign projects and programs to the purchasing and warehouse departments to ensure effective use of resources.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Experience in a similar role or industry is an asset.

Work Environment:

The Terminal Operator will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with regular exposure to heavy equipment and potentially hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The Terminal Operator will work a variable schedule, with regular overtime required to meet business needs.
