Job Summary

The Toronto Blue Jays is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Valet Attendant to join our team at the Marriott City Centre Hotel. As a Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and safe valet experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the valet team to ensure a seamless valet service is provided to guests.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and offer valet services as needed.
  • Assist guests with directions to the lobby or front desk.
  • Conduct a thorough inspection of vehicles to identify any damages and notify guests accordingly.
  • Drive vehicles safely to the Rogers Centre parking garage, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Park vehicles in the designated hotel zone.
  • Complete documentation for each vehicle, including damages, license plate, and location.
  • Ensure vehicles are locked and secure.
  • Process inbound and outbound documentation in the valet office and store keys.
  • Answer service phones for vehicles requested to be brought up.
  • Verify the correct key is requested before releasing it to guests.
  • Fill out outbound documentation and retrieve vehicles from the parking garage.
  • Conduct a final inspection of vehicles and notify guests of any damages.
  • Drive vehicles back to the hotel parking lobby and provide keys to guests or doormen as needed.
  • Assist guests with any additional requests or needs.
  • Maintain open communication with the Valet Team Lead and Parking Operations Manager.
  • Address any fan escalations in a prompt and respectful manner, working closely with other game-day departments and the hotel to resolve issues.
  • Participate in pre- and post-event parking setup and provide backup support in other areas of the parking department as needed.

Requirements

  • Availability to work at least 3 weeknights and weekends, with the majority of shifts falling between noon and midnight.
  • Valid G license with a clean driving history.
  • Prior experience in valet or delivery services is an asset.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to establish and maintain relationships with internal departments and hotel staff.
  • Able to drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays is considered an asset.
