About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Angelic Treasures Christian Childcare Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Environment
    • Assist co-workers in maintaining a clean and organized childcare environment
    • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
  • Support Early Childhood Educators
    • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
    • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress
  • Engage with Children
    • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
    • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
    • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Team Collaboration
    • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Physical stamina to keep up with the demands of the job
