As a Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training staff, and teaching interest or professional development courses. You will also be responsible for authorizing payments, ordering merchandise, and establishing work schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise staff and assign sales workers to duties
* Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
* Teach interest or professional development courses
* Authorize payments by cheque
* Order merchandise
* Establish work schedules
* Sell merchandise
* Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
* Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
* Organize and maintain inventory
* Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
* Conduct performance reviews
* Supervise office and volunteer staff

Requirements:

* 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail environment
* College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
