Qualifications and Requirements

**Education and Training**

We are seeking a highly qualified individual with a Master's degree in a health-related discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution. The ideal candidate will have recognized post-basic education related to mental illness, substance use, and concurrent disorders.

Experience and Skills

**Key Qualifications**

The successful candidate will have at least two years of recent experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of mental health issues, substance use issues, and concurrent disorders. They will also possess knowledge of applicable legislation, such as the Mental Health Act and the Guardianship Act.

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • **Clinical Skills**: Demonstrated practice skills related to cognitive behavioral therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, risk assessment, and other psychotherapeutic interventions.
  • **Communication and Interpersonal Skills**: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • **Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills**: Sound organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and organize client demands and care needs.
  • **Clinical Coaching and Teaching Skills**: Demonstrated clinical coaching and teaching skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding others.
  • **Emotional Intelligence and Empathy**: Strong emotional intelligence and empathy, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • **Independence and Initiative**: Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and demonstrate initiative in completing tasks and projects.
  • **Teamwork and Collaboration**: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
