Position Overview

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of skilled personnel, ensuring the efficient flow of materials necessary for production. This role involves overseeing the receipt, shipping, and distribution of materials, while maintaining strict inventory accuracy within the designated area. The supervisor will prioritize safety and quality, ensuring that all operations comply with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse Management
    1. Oversee daily warehouse activities and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
    2. Participate in production meetings to discuss material updates and operational priorities.
    3. Monitor operations to ensure timely delivery of materials across various trades.
  2. Team Leadership
    1. Assist team members in resolving issues and defining priorities.
    2. Generate reports and present findings to management.
    3. Maintain clear communication regarding production metrics and schedules.
  3. Continuous Improvement
    1. Identify best practices and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
    2. Drive change initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications:

  1. Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  3. Experience in shipbuilding or related industries is preferred.
