Job Title: Lawyer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lawyer to join our team at Toronto Advocates.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients in a variety of matters, including civil and criminal cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the law and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plead clients' cases before courts of law, tribunals, and boards.
  • Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion.
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
  • Offer mediation, conciliation, and arbitration services.
  • Research legal precedents and gather evidence.
Requirements:
  • Membership in the Canadian Bar Association.
  • Pega certified professional.
  • Membership in a provincial or territorial law society.
  • Strong understanding of the law.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large caseload. The ideal candidate will be able to work accurately and efficiently in a team environment.
