Overview:

Infrastructure Ontario is on the lookout for a Vice President of Development to spearhead our Transit Oriented Communities initiative. This leadership position involves guiding a talented team and significantly influencing the strategic vision and implementation of the TOC program portfolio. Your efforts will be crucial in enhancing housing availability, providing long-term care facilities, rejuvenating provincial landmarks, and fostering integrated communities that encompass affordable housing, essential services, amenities, and job opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the development and execution of comprehensive policies, strategies, and governance frameworks for both GO/LRT TOC and Subways TOC portfolios.
  • Manage essential relationships with governmental bodies, local municipalities, Indigenous groups, and other key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation of approvals, briefing documents, and submissions pertinent to TOC initiatives.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and negotiations with municipal and regional collaborators.
  • Create and sustain financial models, project metrics, and timelines.
  • Administer budgets and expenses related to third-party professional services.
  • Encourage team development through training programs and talent management initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education and/or professional training in relevant fields.
  • Significant leadership experience in financial or professional sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of governmental priorities and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead diverse, multi-disciplinary teams and promote inclusivity.
