Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts
- Troubleshoot issues with machinery and implement engineering changes to improve operations
- Manufacture parts in accordance with provided drawings and specifications
- Prepare and set up machinery for machining processes
- Mentor and train peers in machine shop practices as required
- Uphold plant safety standards to maintain a secure working environment
- Ensure the quality and quantity of machined components meet set expectations
- Effectively communicate through both written and verbal means
- Exhibit a positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

Requirements- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent as an essential qualification
- Completed a 4th-year machinist trade apprenticeship program or a machinist foundation certificate with CNC operator level 3 or equivalent credentials
- Possess a minimum of 4 years' experience in a machine shop environment, with proficient CNC machinery skills; experience in the packaging machinery industry, corrugated industry, or manufacturing processes will be considered a strong asset
- Have a fundamental understanding of CNC programming
- Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Ability to use mechanical hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments skillfully
- Working experience operating manual machine shop equipment competently
- Experience entering shop order data into ERP systems
- Able to physically lift and maneuver items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Proven experience operating mills, lathes, and any secondary machinery within the machine shop
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and lifting without restriction
