Job Description

Job Title: APTPUO - Fall 2024 - ART1321A - Intro to Sculpture

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced sculptor to teach an introductory course on sculpture at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sculpture and contemporary art, as well as teaching experience at the post-secondary level.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach an introductory course on sculpture to students at the University of Ottawa
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers the fundamentals of sculpture, including modelling, casting, sculpting, and construction
  • Provide students with feedback and guidance on their work
  • Assess student progress and provide evaluations

Requirements:

  • Master of Fine Arts or equivalent degree
  • Established reputation and exhibition record in sculpture and contemporary art
  • Teaching experience at the post-secondary level
