Position Overview

Reporting to the Test Manager, the Electronics Test Specialist plays a crucial role in evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing electronic systems and equipment. This position is based in our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical assistance to engineers and scientists regarding moderately complex components, devices, materials, products, processes, and equipment.
  • Conduct testing, modifications, reworking, and repairs of electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Utilize knowledge of electronic theory and principles of electrical circuits to test and troubleshoot production electronic equipment.
  • Employ test equipment to execute functional, operational, and environmental tests on equipment, ensuring compliance with established criteria.
  • Interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for diagnostic and repair purposes.
  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on products, documenting results and completing necessary repairs, maintenance, and calibrations on test equipment.
  • Analyze, record, and interpret test data to assess product acceptability, recommending modifications to testing methods or specifications to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Possession of an Electronics Technician Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a dynamic electronics manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment.
  • Experience in reading schematics and engineering specifications.
  • Demonstrated technical competency and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret test data effectively.
  • Basic design capabilities and integration/troubleshooting skills are essential.
