Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to provide a visible presence to deter potential security threats.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation.
- Conduct security checks and inspections to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors, and respond to their security-related concerns and inquiries.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
- Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
- Private Investigator (PI) provincial/territorial Licence
- Provincial/Territorial Security Officer Certificate
- Security Guard License
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting
- Knowledge of security policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
