Position Overview

Royal Star Enterprises Inc. is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Labourer to contribute to our landscape maintenance efforts. This role involves working in various outdoor environments, ensuring the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of green spaces.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Previous experience is considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • Primarily outdoors
  • Conditions may include wet, damp, and noisy surroundings
  • Exposure to odours and dust
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in landscape construction projects
  • Weed, prune, and trim various trees and plants
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns
  • Lay sod or seed as needed
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Apply fertilizers and ensure proper watering of plants and gardens
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
Experience Required
  • Experience in snow removal is beneficial.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of handling tight deadlines and repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination are essential
  • Comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, including bending, crouching, and kneeling
