We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Sugar Blooms and Cakes Inc. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing dough for various baked goods, requisitioning materials, and ensuring the quality of our products meets our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare dough: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Requisition materials: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Quality control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Supervise staff: Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff as needed.
- Decorate cakes: Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods as required.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma in baking and pastry arts or equivalent experience.
- Work setting: Bake shop environment with relocation costs covered by employer.
- Physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
