Compensation: $66,560 annually

Overview: GRIMMWAY FARMS is in search of a committed Organic Farming Pest Control Advisor to enhance our agricultural team. This position involves collaboration with Agronomists, Farm Managers, and various personnel to devise and execute Integrated Pest Management strategies within organic vegetable cultivation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of crops, diagnosing issues, and providing expert recommendations for pest and disease management.
  • Keeping abreast of advancements in agricultural pest control technologies, with a focus on organic practices.
  • Engaging in field trials and meticulously documenting outcomes.
  • Supporting pesticide applicators while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Continuously enhancing knowledge and maintaining necessary licenses and certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of pertinent experience in the field.
  • Possession of a California Agricultural Pest Control Adviser License or the capability to acquire one.
  • Proficient understanding of agricultural pest control methodologies.
  • Strong computer proficiency and effective communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
