Cashier - Part Time Job Description

At Metro, we're looking for a skilled and customer-focused Cashier to join our Front-End team on a part-time basis. As a Cashier, you'll play a vital role in providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all customers.
  • Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Develop strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Requirements:
  • Customer service driven with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Retail experience considered an asset.
  • High attention to detail and basic level of numeracy skills.
  • Able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
