Business Context: In the role of Commercial Proposal Coordinator, you will be instrumental in enhancing the effectiveness of our commercial strategies by assisting the Commercial Team with various tasks associated with the proposal lifecycle. Your capability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams, adapt to evolving circumstances, maintain precise documentation, and provide bilingual assistance will be crucial for thriving in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opportunity Research: Actively investigate and identify potential opportunities, including Market Sounding, Expressions of Interest, Requests for Qualification, and Requests for Proposal across all Egis sectors throughout Canada.
- Commercial Database Management: Oversee and refresh the commercial database utilizing CRM tools. Ensure that all pertinent information, such as client contacts, opportunity specifics, and proposal documents, are accurately logged and readily accessible, with consistent follow-up on this database.
- Vendor Registration Facilitation: Assist in the registration process on all platforms utilized by Egis by completing online forms with administrative details, ensuring our organization is recognized as a vendor by relevant clients and governmental bodies. Maintain updated and compliant registrations according to applicable regulations.
- Proposal Support: Aid in the development of proposals, including drafting content such as project references, CVs, formatting documents, creating templates, and submitting proposals on various platforms.
- Administrative Assistance: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the commercial team by keeping all necessary administrative documents current and relevant to proposal development.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in an engineering firm to understand the terminology within engineering, architecture, construction, infrastructure, or related fields.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in proposal development and bid searching.
- Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills to identify opportunities that align with the company's growth and effectively communicate these to the team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with fluency in both French and English.
- Detail-oriented with robust organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM tools like Deltek is advantageous.
- Familiarity with bid searching websites is a plus.
- Willingness to engage in an administrative role is beneficial.
