About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Mak Lodge Care Home. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompanying Residents on Outdoor Activities: Safely escort residents on outdoor recreational activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Providing Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assisting with Medication and Treatments: Administer medications, suppositories, and enemas as prescribed by medical staff.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of residents' rooms and common areas.
  • Communicating with Residents and Staff: Respond to residents' needs, deliver messages, and maintain open communication with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
