Position Overview
The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the firm's risk management initiatives by identifying, assessing, and monitoring various risks. This position involves conducting risk evaluations, internal audits, and managing specific risk-related functions such as third-party risk assessments. The analyst will collaborate with various business units to evaluate and mitigate risks while enhancing operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Assessment
- Conduct ongoing risk identification and evaluation as part of product, service, and project changes.
- Analyze risk events to categorize and assess their significance, determining necessary mitigation strategies and opportunities for process enhancements.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to implement risk mitigation strategies and improve processes and controls.
- Oversee risk management infrastructure, including risk categories, registers, and issue tracking systems.
Data Reporting
- Gather, analyze, and report data from diverse sources, including financial performance, cybersecurity, and operational metrics.
- Develop and refine risk and performance indicators to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Identify and communicate areas needing attention and enhancement.
Internal Compliance Reviews
- Conduct reviews of specific departments to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices, focusing on process and control improvements.
- Present findings and actionable recommendations for enhancements, including support for remediation efforts and validation of their effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage the third-party risk management process, including maintaining a register of entities and contracts, conducting due diligence, and performing annual risk assessments.
- Assist in managing risks associated with investment processes, including adherence to environmental, social, and governance commitments.
- Support the development of policies, guidelines, and awareness materials related to risk management.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide processes such as business continuity planning and incident response.
Qualifications
- Experience in risk management, internal auditing, compliance, consulting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven ability to collaborate, negotiate, and influence stakeholders across the organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Excellent presentation and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- High ethical standards and diligence in handling sensitive information.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization abilities.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in work outputs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-driven team player with a positive outlook.
- Completion of financial or securities-related coursework is preferred.
