About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Officer to join our team at ICW Immigration Services Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.
  • Supervise professional and support staff and students, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Administer programs to promote economic growth and development, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including preparing reports, research papers, and educational texts, to support the development of business plans and strategies.
  • Plan and develop projects to promote commercial and industrial growth, working closely with clients to understand their needs and goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations to promote economic development and growth.
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in business development, economic development, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a fast-paced environment and a large workload.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately and efficiently complete tasks.
  • Client-focused, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Judgement, with the ability to make informed decisions and take calculated risks.
  • Organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
