About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Darwin Gadioma. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, clean and disinfect elevators, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, shop for food and household supplies, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for our clients.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure a safe and secure environment for our clients and staff, perform criminal record checks as required.
  • Transportation and Travel: Willing to travel regularly as required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, overtime required, sitting, walking.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move heavy objects as required.
  • Ability to work in a non-smoking environment.
