About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Food Service Worker at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall on Carleton University campus.

As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, portioning of food, and serving customers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service while preparing food and fulfilling orders
  • Compile orders accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Receive payment by cash, debit/credit card, and campus card
  • Stock shelves, refrigerators, and/or salad bars
  • Assist with opening and closing of the location
  • Keep stations clean and replenished at all times
  • Clean counters and tables
  • Empty garbage
  • Ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures
  • May perform other job duties as required
Requirements
  • Experience in the restaurant/food service industry is an asset
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Enjoy working with others in a team setting
  • Ability to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
  • Cash handling experience is an asset
