About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in local government legislation and administration. The successful candidate will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Corporate Administration team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Corporate Administration team
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the team's work
  • Collaborate with external legal professionals to ensure effective governance
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and information
  • Provide support to the Council and other stakeholders
  • Develop and implement plans to improve services and efficiency
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Law, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • Five years of experience as a Corporate Officer or municipal lawyer
  • Certified or Master Municipal Clerk designation
  • Parliamentary procedures courses and experience
  • Administration of at least two local elections, preferably utilizing electronic voting machines
  • Three years of experience as Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Head
  • Minimum seven years of progressive experience as a Corporate Officer
