Job Description

Finning is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Director to lead our global sustainability strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability plan that addresses compliance, governance, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a global sustainability strategy that aligns with our company's values and objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with international standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Partner with internal teams to integrate sustainability practices into corporate policies, procedures, and activities.
  • Develop and maintain a sustainability reporting framework that meets global standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to a small team of sustainability professionals.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry groups, to promote our sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of ESG regulatory requirements and trends nationally and globally.
  • Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, and SASB.
  • 10+ years of experience in a relevant industry/business experience in a sustainability role or related field.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to plan, organize, and lead.
  • Persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present to senior leadership internally and externally.
