Position Overview: Carpenter Supervisor

The Next Level Group is seeking skilled Carpenter Supervisors to oversee our diverse range of Commercial and Residential construction projects. This position offers the chance to lead a team and play a crucial role in our ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the construction of structures according to comprehensive plans and specifications.
  • Assist in the creation and improvement of building designs.
  • Select and utilize suitable materials and tools for various projects.
  • Implement carpentry methods including measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials in accordance with project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records as necessary.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations on the job site.
  • Conduct daily site inspections, ensure equipment maintenance, and keep workspaces organized.
  • Provide training on new tools and techniques.
  • Guide junior staff to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Communicate effectively with the project foreman or supervisor.
  • Perform additional tasks to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience in the construction industry (Residential or Commercial).
  • Preferred post-secondary education or a carpentry trade certification.
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.
  • Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and operating machinery.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work additional hours during busy periods.
