The Role: Lead Line Cook

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lead Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary brigade, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of exceptional dining experiences.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Execute delegated tasks from Sous Chefs, Executive Chefs, and/or General Managers with precision and efficiency.
  • Prepare a wide range of dishes according to Auberge du Pommier's exacting standards, adhering to recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
  • Maintain a comprehensive prep list for your station, ensuring all necessary ingredients are readily available.
  • Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) methods to maximize freshness and minimize waste.
  • Contribute to food inventory management and control procedures.
  • Assist in the proper receiving and storage of delivered items.
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness standards throughout your work area, adhering to strict sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines.
  • Strictly adhere to WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) guidelines.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Culinary diploma or degree is an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in professional cooking techniques and knife handling skills.
  • Ability to receive and execute instructions effectively while working calmly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods throughout your shift.
  • ServSafe certification is required.
